In my opinion I think the price increase will increase the demand to watch movies on other platforms like at cinemas, or on sky box offices. The content on Netflix is always out of date and never has the most recent season of a series online.

Facebook has released a new app that lets people use its service anonymously. The social network unveiled 'Rooms' on Thursday, a standalone mobile app for iOS that lets users interact on Facebook without using their real names. The aim is for people to feel free to discuss sensitive issues, when normally they would not be comfortable doing so. A "room" is made up of photos and posts on a single topic chosen by the person who set it up. That person can then invite others to join the room, and all can post anonymously. Colours, icons and cover photos for the room can also be modified to suit the creator's tastes.
In my opinion I think that this new application that doesn't promote adverts on its website will be a success. Over the past years users have come to the conclusion not to trust facebook as they sell personal information to third parties purely for profitable reasons. Ever since twitter has evolved a considerable amount of users have reduced or completely deactivated their account due to privacy issues. Many paedophiles targeted young teens by pretending to be another person, using false identity to get closer to the target and then either kidnap or rape the user. This outrage happened frequently in mid 2010 when users started privatising their pictures and personal information from the public
With more ugc people would send this into the a news organisation for e.g. the bbc and the bbc could then talk about the news that they got sent in and it may give them a competitive advantage over competitors as they would have first hand footage when sky news for e.g. wouldn't.

They now have the advantage as they can blog about their opinion as well as the usage of social media in which they can tweet or facebook about first hand footage and this may get coverage without use of the big broadcasting institutions.

The photo-sharing site Snapchat was hit by a cyber attack yesterday which reportedly exposed the usernames and phone numbers of 4.6 million users. The data was posted on a website called SnapchatDB.info, which has since been suspended. The hackers censored the last two digits of the phone numbers "in order to minimise spam and abuse", but offered to disclose the uncensored database "under certain circumstances". In a statement to tech news site TechCrunch, the hackers explained that their motivation behind the attack was to raise public awareness around the issue, and put public pressure on Snapchat to fix the exploit.
I think that the recent hacking has made everybody question if our personal details are safe with these leading social networking sites. Following the Facebook security flaws and concerns people are increasingly worry about their privacy. Other major hacks recently was with games companies Raven, Microsoft, Activision, Sony.

In my opinion I think that credit cards are less sophisticated than the UK which uses chip-and-PIN technology, experts predicted that gaining market share in Britain would be more difficult. Buying things will be much easier as there is no need to bring your card with you as card details are stored on the phone. A negative factor to this would be that theft percentages will increase dramatically.
